This first thursday of the month is the lunch meeting for the PBBA and it falls on April 1st. Even though it is April Fools day, there is no fooling around for this fun networking business organization that is very hands on. There are many types of businesses represented and a mixture of small and large businesses in the community. No, you do not have to have a location in Palmetto Bay to come. It is held at Flemings restaurant at 8511 SW 136 street and the price is $15 for members and $20 for visitors. The lunch is always great and there is time before and after to meet people individually. Networking starts at 11:30 and the meeting promptly at 12 noon so we are out by 1 pm. We have a guest speaker and also make time for EVERYONE there to introduce themselves and their businesses to the 90 people in the room. It is a relaxing group of friendly people who pass out alot of cards and look to do business with each other.
I, Pam Mayers, am on the board and we really try to encourage business to do business with each other and are always looking for interesting speakers our members would appreciate. We plan a few social events like happy hours and a big picnic in July. I would encourage you to come and check out the organization. If you would like to belong the charge is around $100, depending on the month you join. With times becoming harder, I have seen this association really take off as owners get personally involved in promoting thier businesses in this very inexpensive way. Everyone takes lunch–you might as well make it productive and write it off tax wise.
Please come and visit and I look forward to seeing you there!!
